Systematic functions of pancreas

Jonathan Ling

The pancreas has an endocrine function because it releases juice directly into the blood. Digestive enzymes or juices are secreted from the pancreas into the small intestine. The pancreas also produces the hormone insulin and secretes it into the blood, where it regulates glucose or sugar levels in the body. Insulin regulator problems can lead to diabetes. Other possible health problems include pancreatitis and pancreatic cancer
